About Vascara
My name is Robin Verkerk, I am 22 years old and the founder and creator of Vascara.
I kept running into the same problem: besides mascara, there wasn’t really a good alternative for making your lashes look beautiful. Mascara always made my lashes droop, become clumpy, stick together, and it often smudged throughout the day. That was something I didn’t want. For me, your lashes can truly make or break your makeup look, especially on those no-makeup makeup days.
So I started doing my research. There had to be an alternative, right? Unfortunately, the products I found were disappointing and didn’t work the way I had hoped. I tried countless mascaras and clear mascaras, but without success.
Still, I refused to give up.
I started experimenting myself: from lip gloss on my lashes to beeswax and even face paint. I was determined to find a solution. After a lot of trial and error, I got closer and closer to a product that actually worked. A product that keeps your lashes beautifully in place without becoming hard. As a result, your lashes are much less likely to break.
And that’s how Vascara was born.
I had been using this product myself for quite some time when I realized: I want to make more people happy with it. So I turned my words into action and started my own company.
I worked with private label manufacturers to develop the perfect formula. I partnered with laboratories to have the Lashgloss tested. I gave Lashglosses away for free to friends and acquaintances so I could hear their honest opinions.
And the most amazing part? Everyone loved it.
Now, after nearly two years of developing, testing, and working incredibly hard, I can finally say with pride that we are live. I’m so excited to see how beautiful Lashgloss will look on everyone and how happy people will be with their new beauty essential.
